New Advanced Placement Classes

Already April? Students, you know what that means. About time to start studying for AP exams in May! Valencia High School offers many AP classes, including AP Statistics, AP World History, AP Computer Science, etc. However, next school year, there will be 3 more AP classes available! 

First, AP Band will be open as a course in the 2024-2025 school year. Extremely similar to Regular Band, AP Band will challenge students to play songs on their instruments all in one breath, learn how to read sheet music with their eyes closed, and much more. This class will be beneficial to students wanting to continue in the field of music and band after high school, or merely having an interest in pursuing voluntary apnea.

Secondly, for juniors and seniors only, AP Gardening will be available. This course will include planting techniques, soil information, etc. Passing the AP exam will be easy peasy as long as students master growing 50-foot tall trees, rose bushes with no thorns, and orchids without using water or sun!

AP Photography anyone? This class is perfect for people wanting to learn all about different types of photography and techniques with their camera. Architecture, fashion, documentary, portraits - you name it. This course will be available and the exams are only $2,300 per student (not including the late fee, of course).
