Fun Things to do Without Technology
If you were to ask the average student how they spend their free time, their response would likely be watching TikTok, or scrolling through Instagram. According to a study done by Common Sense Media, teens spend an average of 8 and a half hours on their phones per day.
Based on these statistics, teens are spending more time on electronics during the day than not. This article will give some ideas on how to spend less time on your phone, in a fun way.
Living in Santa Clarita, students may feel like there isn't much to do. Going to the mall, the park, or even Six Flags can get boring if you do it every weekend. And although staying home and watching TV all day can be fun every once in a while, there are many more healthy alternatives.
1. The William S. Hart Museum
The William S. Hart Museum is the property owned by William S. Hart. He was a famous silent actor in the 1920s, and much of SCV was named after him. 2. VHS sports

3. Read a book
The Santa Clarita Library is a great place to sit back and relax while reading your favorite book. The library offers a wide variety of books from fiction to nonfiction, so you're sure to find one that piques your interest.
4. Go for a hike
If you're somebody who loves being active, try one of the many hiking spots in our area. Thanks to us being surrounded by mountains, there are plenty of hiking trails to choose from. 5. Play a board game
Board games are a great alternative to electronics, and can be a fun way to bring the family together. With so many different types of games available, having a fun time is guaranteed.
6. Go to the gym
