Fun Fall Activities Around SCV

Santa Clarita valley has many fun activities throughout the months of fall. Many are family friendly and relatively cheap.

At the Valencia public library on October 31 from 4-5pm a Halloween scavenger hunt is being hosted, along with a reading of spooky stories. It is encouraged that children come dressed in costume, and kids will receive fun treats while there. Additionally on November 1, the library is also hosting a Baby and Toddler storytime event for a fun family outing with the smaller kids.

The town's most popular spot, Magic Mountain, has been celebrating Fright Fest since the beginning of September. This is a fun activity to enjoy and celebrate the holiday with surprising and scary mazes along with impressive dance and acrobatic performances.

On November 11, there's a craft and vendor fair called Jingle Fest featuring Strawberry and Fig. From 10-5 you can come support local artisans and their creative passions.

On the weekend of November 4-5, at the Santa Clarita skate park, Good Karma is hosting a music and arts festival. This event is great to make up for any lost concerts in the park and indulge in some fun! This event is for people of all ages to enjoy a day of music, live art, food trucks, and local vendors.

On November 22 and 23 at Station 1640, Orlove by Night is doing a clinic Thanksgiving eve from 10pm on the 22 to 3 am on the 23 with a performance by The Atish, THE ÖTHËRSIDE, and Karam.

Dangling Carrots Grisley Garden is a haunted house created by film industry workers who were out of work this last year due to the strike in hope to gain some money. It occurs from October 16 through October 31. One adult ticket to the whole event costs $33 and the time frame is 5:00 to 11:00pm. For children 12 and under the price goes down to $20. There is a light scare or guided story portion from 5 to 6:30 before the house opens. Many have already given raving reviews and I heavily recommend going to this event as it’s a once in a lifetime experience being curated by professionals who may never be able to work together again in hosting such an amazing event for the public, especially during the Halloween season.
