Farmers Market
If you’re looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday mornings, look no further than the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market! The farmers market is held every Saturday morning from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the parking lot of the Old Town Newhall Library. At the market, you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, and meats, as well as a wide variety of delicious desserts, drinks, and meals. Last Saturday, we went to check out the market and all the amazing things it has to offer. Check out our favorites below!
Henry’s Coffee
Henry’s Coffee is a local family-owned coffee cart that serves delicious drinks with unique flavors. We recommend trying their iced raspberry honey latte, which had a delicious raspberry flavor but wasn’t too sweet. There is no upcharge for alternative milks, and they offer almond milk, oat milk, and cow’s milk. Other popular drinks here include their vanilla latte, cold brew, and matcha latte.
Des Croissants Paris
Des Croissants Paris is a Culver City based bakery that sells delicious French pastries. They have a wide variety of pastries to choose from, but some of their most popular ones include the almond croissant and raspberry panier. We tried their chocolate croissant and thought it was delicious.
Gutierrez Farms
Gutierrez Farms is family owned and sells a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. They offer staple produce items, such as onions, carrots, and berries. However, they also have some unique offerings, including their romanesco broccoli. Their stall is very organized and covered by a mesh tent in order to keep the produce clean and safe
Loving Lefse
Loving Lefse is a family owned business that sells traditional Norwegian flatbreads. Each order is made fresh, and you can choose from a variety of savory and sweet options. Notable options on their menu include the buffalo chicken lefse, the chili cheese lefse, and the nutella lefse, although the traditional lefse with butter and brown sugar is very popular too. We tried their lefse-dilla, which is a quesadilla made with lefse flatbread. It was delicious and could easily be shared between multiple people.
In addition to these amazing businesses, there are many other unique and exciting stalls at the farmers market. These include Hemera’s Bench, which is a New Zealand style bakery, and Hasi bread, which sells freshly made sourdough with turmeric and butterfly pea flower.
