Disney Channel Halloween Specials Ratings

As the spooky decorations come out and the smell of cinnamon swirls through the air, it can only mean one thing: Halloween is approaching! If you’re like me and love to start off the season by watching some of your Halloween favorites, then I’ve got you covered! I went through and picked some of the most iconic and memorable Disney Channel Halloween special episodes that are sure to bring you that nostalgic feel!

Wizards of Waverly Place: “Halloween”

Season 3, Episode 2

Rating: 9/10

Summary: Every year, the Russo Haunted House fails to attract people; however, this year they are determined to step up their game and put Alex in charge. In her usual mischievous fashion, Alex goes to the spirit world to find real ghosts to haunt the Waverly Sub Station.

Review: Wizards of Waverly Place never disappoints. The iconic characters and mischief were fun and nostalgic!

Jessie: “Ghost Bummers”

Season 3, Episode 1

Rating: 10/10

Summary: Jessie and the kids are excluded from the Halloween party in their building. In retaliation, they decide to throw their own and are faced with interruptions from troublesome spirits.

Review: With one of the best casts of any Disney Channel show, Jessie was so fun to watch and gave the perfect Halloween vibe!

Shake It Up: “Haunt It Up”

Season 3, Episode 25

Rating: 6.5/10

Summary: This year, in an attempt to be more mature, Cece and Rocky ditch trick or treating for “Mature-o-ween.” Flynn challenges Ty and Deuce to spend a night in a haunted house on a bet.

Review: “You were good, I’m waiting for you to be great.” -Abby Lee Miller

Liv and Maddie: “Helgaween-A-Rooney”

Season 2, Episode 3

Rating: 8.5/10

Summary: When Maddie finds an old magical amulet, she accidentally makes a wish and is surprised with a new evil triplet straight from a nightmare: Helga.

Review: This was such a nostalgic episode and I loved watching it!!

Austin and Ally: “Costumes & Courage”

Season 2, Episode 1

Rating: 7/10

Summary: Austin’s new record label invites him to perform at a Halloween party with Taylor Swift. When Taylor gets hurt and can’t perform, Ally, who coincidentally wore the same costume, fills in for Taylor, conquering her stage fright.

Review: It was a fun watch but Taylor Swift never showed up :(

A.N.T. Farm: “mutANT farm”

Season 1, Episode 14

Rating: 8/10

Summary: In this fantasy episode, it is Chyna’s first day in the mutANT program at her new school. Being surrounded by both monsters and humans is new territory for her and at the Halloween dance where humans aren’t allowed, Chyna takes things into her own hands.

Review: With one of the best songs and dance choreography featured in this episode, it gave the perfect spooky vibe, still in the iconic A.N.T farm fashion!

After much consideration, the rankings are decided! With “Ghost Bummers” from Jessie in 1st and “Halloween” from Wizards of Waverly Place ranked 2nd, Liv and Maddie and A.N.T Farm came very close with Liv and Maddie pulling ahead in 3rd. Austin and Ally ended in 4th (baiting me with Taylor Swift), and Shake It Up fell in last place. Cece and Rocky didn’t cut it this time, but it was still a fun watch!

Next time you're in the mood to binge on some Halloween specials or just feeling nostalgic, be sure to check out these Disney episodes!
