Dirty Dough Review
The smell of fresh-baked cookies fresh out of the oven, that first mouth-watering bite into a warm gooey cookie; these are the sensations we crave every so often, and to satisfy that urge for a sweet treat, we took a trip over to Santa Clarita’s newest cookie shop, Dirty Dough. Noteworthy for being one of the first and only cookie chains to introduce a new menu every week, these yummy treats have begun to make a name for themselves across the country. Last week, we had the pleasure of sampling some delicious flavors from their weekly menu and we are ready to share our thoughts. From the classic chocolate chip to new and original flavors, Dirty Dough has a cookie for everyone!
Stuffed Chocolate Chip
“Our specialty chocolate chip cookie is loaded with milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate chips”(Dirty Dough)
Molly ★★☆☆☆
Where was the sugar??? It felt like a healthy diet cookie that needed more time in the oven…
Lila ★★☆☆☆
Honestly, it wasn’t that bad but in no world could I ever call this a good chocolate chip cookie. Let’s hold back on the almond extract next time guys…
Samantha ★☆☆☆☆
BLAND! This cookie gave me nothing. I genuinely thought they had accidentally given us the gluten-free cookie because there was no flavor.
Sophia ★☆☆☆☆
Boring chocolate chip cookie. I’ve tried this before and I still think there is literally no flavor. If you are expecting a sweet chocolate chip cookie then do NOT get this cookie.
Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal
“A hearty oatmeal cookie filled with a sweet cream cheese filling topped with maple cream frosting and a sprinkle of brown sugar”(Dirty Dough)
Molly ★★★★☆
It was just like an oatmeal raisin cookie with cream cheese frosting! Very yummy and not too sweet!
Lila ★★★☆☆
This one was good but a tad too sweet for me. I am also just not a fan of oatmeal cookies in general so this was never going to be a hit for me. If the cream cheese frosting was spread a little more evenly rather than just being in the center, I definitely would have liked this more.
Samantha ★★★★☆
I loved this one! The cream cheese frosting in the middle complimented the maple cookie perfectly. If you are an oatmeal person, this one is for you.
Sophia ★★★★☆
I thought it was a pretty simple cookie although I really enjoyed the consistency and the flavor since I’m a very big oatmeal cookie enthusiast!
Cookie Butter
“A sweet sugar cookie stuffed with sweet creme topped with velvety speculoos cookie frosting and crumbled with speculoos cookie chunks”(Dirty Dough)
Molly ★★★★★
My absolute favorite!!! The flavors blended together really well and the white chocolate in the center was the perfect touch!
Lila ★★★★★
My favorite without a doubt. I could see how some people might not like how intensely sweet it was but I am obsessed with Biscoff cookies so that flavor made up for it.
Samantha ★★★★★
By far the best one. The biscoff flavor was super strong and the texture was amazing.
Sophia ★★★★★
This cookie was delicious! I’m not normally the biggest Biscoff fan but surprisingly it tasted so good. It was the perfect amount of soft and the flavors truly melted onto my tongue.
Buckeye Brownie
“Our fudgy chocolate cookie stuffed with peanut butter fudge and topped with peanut butter frosting and brownie bites”(Dirty Dough)
Molly ★★★☆☆
Overall solid cookie, not bad but not my favorite. I felt it was lacking a bit but the peanut butter was great!
Lila ★★★☆☆
I did like this one but I am just not a big chocolate fan so it wasn’t my favorite. Between this and the Reverse, it was definitely a better peanut butter cookie.
Samantha ★★★☆☆
This isn’t the first cookie I would reach for, but it was definitely still good. The flavors had a good blend of sweet and salty, and I could really taste the peanuts.
Sophia ★★★★☆
I thought that it was overall pretty good since I LOVE peanut butter but the brownie was a bit overpowering.
The Reverse
“Fudge filling wrapped in a chocolate cookie then triple wrapped with a peanut butter cookie and topped with a chocolate drizzle and crushed Reese’s”(Dirty Dough)
Molly ★★★☆☆
Looked better than it tasted, it wasn’t bad but I was expecting more. The peanut butter dough was a bit much for me but if you love chocolate and peanut butter this is a great cookie for you!
Lila ★☆☆☆☆
It was like biting into a desert rather than dessert. WAY too dry and the peanut butter was just lacking flavor.
Samantha ★★☆☆☆
Not my favorite. The flavor wasn’t hitting, and it felt really dry. The peanut butter cookie sucked all the moisture out of my mouth and replaced it with the taste of chocolate that was way too rich for my liking.
Sophia★★★☆☆
It could be sweeter although I did like the flavor since once again I’m a big fan of peanut butter!
Brookie
“The perfect combination of a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie filled and drizzled in caramel sauce”(Dirty Dough)
Molly ★★★★★
So so good!! The chocolate was rich but not overly so. The caramel complimented the cookie very well and overall it was delicious!
Lila★★★☆☆
Maybe I had unrealistic standards because this cookie had been previously hyped up to me but it just really wasn’t as good as I had been anticipating and I think that might’ve dulled it down for me. Also, there wasn’t as much caramel as I would have liked so that could have made it better.
Samantha ★★★★☆
Very yummy! The overall texture of the cookie just melted in your mouth in the best way, and the flavor was amazing.
Sophia ☆☆☆☆☆
I really DO NOT like caramel so I didn't even try the cookie…
