Book Review: All My Rage
As summer transitions into fall, the best way to celebrate is to snuggle up with a blanket and read a fantastic book. Whether it is for a book report, or you just want to dive into a new story, there are endless options of amazing books to choose from. However, there is one book in particular that you should consider: All My Rage, by Sabaah Tahir.
The book follows Salahuddin and Noor, two Pakistani teens who have faced mysterious sources of trauma, which has left them with physical and mental barriers. Although they were best friends growing up, they were torn apart after their feelings for each other did not go hand in hand. When Salahuddin’s mother dies, it leaves both teens to fend for themselves, as their guardians neglect them. As they work to keep their family’s businesses afloat and graduate from high school, their desperation for money leads them down a dark path. This forces them to learn, whether they wanted to or not, about what traumatized them at an early age.
While All My Rage is the latest of Tahir’s bestselling books, she does have a popular fantasy series called An Ember In The Ashes. This series has four separate books, most of which have won various awards due to their complex story and characters. Even if you’re in a reading slump, All My Rage is worth a try because of its compelling characters, conflict, and climax that will leave you speechless.
